SQUASH LADDER RULES
1. The ladder is open to all section members - ladies, men and juniors.
2. There will be 20 names on the ladder itself at any one timebut any other section member may challenge any of these . However, if the challenger loses, he/she cannot challenge the same person again wthin one month.
3. Those on the ladder maychallenge players up to 3 places above them.
4. Matches shall be the best of 5 sets. If the challenger wins, he/she takes the placeabove the player defeated. If the challenger loses, the ladder positions are unchanged.
5. If the match is not completed within the time available, the player leading on sets shall be the winner. If the score is level on sets, the player with most points in all sets played - including the one not finished - shall be the winner. In the (highly unlikely) event of a draw, the challenge will have failed so the ladder positions will be unchanged.
6. All results are to be recorded on the sheet next to the ladder by the noticeboard. Anyone on the ladder who plays no matches over a 3 month period may be excludedat the discretion of the Squash Committee.
7. If any player fails, for whatever reason, to accept a challenge i.e. agree to a reasonable date/time on the current booking sheets, the challengermay claim a walkover in which case the ladder positions shall be reversed. Any disputes shall be referred to the Squash Committee whose decision will be final.
